Music Monday: Roger Clyne and the Peacemakers

“California Breakdown” from the 2014 Roger Clyne and the Peacemakers album, “The Independent.”

After the demise of their band The Refreshments, singer Roger Clyne and drummer PH Naffah formed the Peacemakers, releasing their first album, “Honky Tonk Union,” in 1999.

Music Dork recommendation: In 2017, a documentary titled “Here’s to Life: The Story of The Refreshments” was released, telling the story of how The Refreshments formed and found success.

It also chronicles how the band fell apart on the way to success and the orgin of Roger Clyne and the Peacemakers.

An odd fact from the documentary: Alice Cooper (yes, that Alice Cooper) is a huge fan.

The documentary is available to rent on Amazon Prime.
