As a release from the their 1992 album “Shamrocks and Shenanigans,” the single “Jump Around” reached number three on the charts in the U.S. for the band.
Additionally, the University of Wisconsin Badgers began using the song in 1998 between the third and fourth quarters of their football games. Click here for a video produced by ESPN on how the phenomenon, which ESPN calls “one of the best traditions in college football,” began.
Several years ago, House of Pain’s Daniel “Danny Boy” O’Connor purchased the house used in the 1983 movie “The Outsiders” and turned it into a museum.
