How Far Can Halfday’s New Carry-On Roller Bag Be Pushed?

Halfday made an impression with travelers and the media when they introduced a two-in-one garment duffel in 2020 as a more affordable option to premium carry-on garment bags. Despite the popularity, customers soon began requesting the addition of wheels for navigating long treks through airports and the company responded by introducing the Carry-On Garment Roller in May 2025.

While the new bag has room for several days’ worth of clothing, could it meet the demand of holding 10-days’ worth of clothing on a trip to England?

After buying the new bag as soon as it hit the market and putting it through domestic and international travel consisting of over 16,000 miles on six flights, two train rides and a driving trip, the answer is…sort of.

Annual events like April Fools’ Day are ripe for brands to try pranks on social media. Often these efforts (at best) fall flat, with the risk of making the company look utterly ridiculous (Volkswagen/Voltswagen anyone? Or maybe when IHOP tried rebranding as the International House of Burgers). This year five small to midsized brands succeeded in at least producing a chuckle, with one evolving a stunt into an impressive product debut.

From October 2011 to September 2012, I was part of the average 8.3% unemployment rate the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics reported for that time period. While my time in the job search paled in comparison to the rapidly increasing rates that some are projecting due to the current COVID-19 threat, a few tips I picked up during that time (and have continued using) still apply.

During an especially active flu season that started in October 2017 and continued through late April 2018, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) reported that more than 200,000 of its residents tested positive for the flu virus and more than 30,000 people were hospitalized.

Considering the 2017-2018 flu outbreak is on target to surpass the record season of 2014-2015 and the scope of the next flu threat is still unknown, it’s even more important for event professionals to watch out for the health of attendees, as well as themselves.
